Edit for update: My 2014 Passat Tdi ended up with a bad turbo. Before giving the go ahead to do the work i called VW to see if it was under warranty. It turns out it was! Any TDI from the dieselgate era (09-14) is open to full coverage for engine, turbo, and emissions system for 120000 miles or ten years (whichever comes first). VW is doing 30 hours worth of work to my car at no cost. That being said Frank’s has been knowledgeable and reasonable throughout the whole process. I will be a return customer outside of my off chance warranty.
